Echna thinks about tomorrow. So does her school Céleste de Morne à Chandelle. And at CRECH we support them.

Because development starts with education. And Christian education in particular.

CRECH believes strongly that Christian education is about more than teaching the Bible. Children must also be able to learn and implement values in their daily lives together with the skills and knowledge acquired.

CRECH is not a single voice. We represent more than 60 members and more than 450 schools all over the country. As one strong voice, we strive for higher quality education in Haiti.

Project of Advocacy

With our partners AMG Haiti, Parole et Action and FEPH, we have set up a committee/workgroup Projet de Plaidoyer [Project of Advocacy] through which we wish to increase awareness of the importance of quality education in Haiti -  specifically in the field of Christian education.

This project lobbies the local and national government with regard to the need to accompany the Christian education sector in its efforts to improve the quality of education.

Currently we are further developing our plans.

What others said

“There is no organisation other than CRECH that does the same work. It would be a mistake to not be part of their network.” – Selou Guertidatho (Head of Education, AMG Haiti)

“With over 200 Christian schools in the country, my organisation is very active, and has been so for even longer than CRECH. We faced many challenges. Thanks to the CRECH network, we now learn and share ideas with local and international partners. We are developing our competence.” – Armand Louis (Headmaster, Union Baptiste Haïti)

Impact

20 representatives – Currently 20 representatives of protestant NGOs, missions and schools are participating in CRECH’s Projet de Plaidoyer. They are considered as our partners of this process.
